GS1 Germany helps companies to master the current challenges

More security for consumers against counterfeit medicines or spoiled foods. These are just two of the topics that concern the general public at the moment.

GS1 standards provide the basis to cope with such challenges. Greater transparency can be achieved in the supply chain if everyone “speaks the same language”. Our standards enable companies to identify consignments of goods and products unambiguously. This provides the basis for ensuring that food can be traced and offers protection against counterfeiting of consumer goods. The topic of data protection when using radio frequency technology is also important for us. Our strategy group “Future” also develops concrete recommendations for permanently improving commercial processes.
