Organisations from trade and industry develop the standards of the future together in the committees of GS1 Germany

The organisational structure of GS1 Germany envisages a clear division of labour: In conjunction with the management the Supervisory Board is responsible for the strategic orientation of GS1 Germany.  Technical responsibility for developing standards, on the other hand, lies with the Steering Committees. Currently four Steering Committees offer the ideal platform for a cross-industry exchange of information. The expert representatives from trade and industry who are on these committees make GS1 Germany the competence centre for communication and process standards – and a reliable partner of various industrial sectors.
