Common standards for identifying items and for communication along the entire value added chain are important basic requirements for every successful business relationship. As an independent service provider, GS1 Germany promotes the development and implementation of open, cross-industry standards which are valid worldwide and offers its customers individual solutions to ensure a smooth flow of goods and data. On the basis of the standards GS1 Germany also develops recommendations for processes and implementation. We support companies from various sectors in implementing processes and show them ways to boost value creation. The company is headquartered in Cologne and belongs to the global GS1 network. It is the second largest of more than 100 GS1 national organisations.
