GS1 Germany is part of the international network Global Standards One – GS1 for short

A global communication system which connects all partners on the supply and demand sides across all national and continental borders – for the benefit of the economy and consumers: that is the vision of GS1 global. The organisation, which has its headquarters in Brussels, is the world leader in developing and implementing uniform standards to optimise the value chain. More than 100 national organisations work together on an international level in order to harmonise the different market requirements and to develop future-proof solutions. Today more than one million companies around the world use the GS1 standards. This “Global Language of Business” provides the basis for the transparent flow of goods and data: from suppliers of raw materials to manufacturers, service providers, wholesale and retail dealers, through to the end consumer.
